It provides six sessions of Circle-time training aimed at teachers of primary aged children. It is written for INSET providers and although each session is free-standing the set provides a developmental progression for staff training both within school staff meetings and in wider contexts. Sessions include a general introduction and five focus areas: feelings, self-esteem, friendship, problem-solving and dealing with anger. The authors have designed the contents of each session for adult participation although some of the new games and activities could be transposed for classroom use. There are photocopiable sheets and four OHP masters to aid presentation. Readers who are familiar with the authors' original Circle-time book will recognise the book's format as this provides a structure for Circle-time and the various techniques required for use in the sessions. However, the essential difference is that the content of this book is for adults for training purposes.
